Essie Summer Collection 2012 Review

First off,I just wanna say I'm obsessed with these nail polishes. I'm just so in love with the colors! I was so excited when I saw a set of minis at Ulta when I was at the beach. When I got home I immediately put on Bikini So Teeny. This color is so cool and totally deserves all the hype. I adore it.

You can see all the colors in the picture above,but the colors I have are Bikini So Teeny,Off The Shoulder,Fear or Desire,and Mojito Madness. Fear or Desire is a hot orange color,Off The Shoulder is a bright,pretty,Barbie pink,and Mojito Madness is a dark mint color. I already have a review of Bikini So Teeny here.

All for are totally gorgeous and every girl needs them in their summer collection. They're $8 and you can purchase them at Ulta,or wherever Essie is sold. I don't have swatch pictures,but if you go on Google Image there's hundreds of pictures of them!

Time to Tone: At Home Exercises

I don't know about you,but now that summer's full in gear I don't have time to go to the gym. During school,I went to gym everyday and I also ran track,which was everyday from the end of February to the middle of May. Today's post will tell you moves you can do from your house .


1.This first move helps with your shoulders,upper legs,triceps,hips,and love handles.
A.Prop your side up on the forearm,elbow under shoulder,palm spread,and legs stacked.
B.Raise hip off floor by pushing through the forearm. Lower your back but don't rest,and push your hip back up towards ceiling. Do 20 of these on each side.

2.This move works your lower and upper abs.
A.Lay on your back,lift your knees to an angle of 90 degrees and put your hands behind your head.
B.While rotating your hips,push your belly button into your spine,lift shoulders off floor and bring knees towards the chest. While your torso lowers to the floor your legs will extend outward. Your shins should be parallel to the floor and extend your legs out just when the back arches. Do 20 of these.

3.This last move targets the hips.
A.Put your feet together and bend into a slight squat. To help your arms,keep them in a boxing position.
B.Press one leg back diagonally but keep the support leg in a small squat. Bring it back to the starting position and do 30 of these on each side.


After you tone with this workout,it's best to get your heart pumping with around 20 minutes of cardio. Hope this helps! :)

NOTD-Essie's Bikini So Teeny

Hey everyone! I just wanted to do a quickie post because I'm excited about my new manicure! When I was at the beach I picked up four of Essie's new summer collection nail polishes. Bikini So Teeny,Mojito Madness,Off The Shoulder,and Fear or Desire. Yesterday I painted my nails with Bikini So Teeny,and I fell in love! It's a light baby blue and it just looks really fun and summery on the nails.

In the bottle,I noticed a slight shimmer,but I don't on my nails. It's defiantly not matte,but there's no shimmer.

Anyway,I love this new mani! It's so fun! :)

Important Update!!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to update you that I will not be posting from Wednesday June 20-Sunday June 24. I will be on vacation at the beach. I'm almost positive there's not a lot of internet access down there,but even if there I probably won't be posting. I just wanted to make this post so I wouldn't be totally MIA. I don't know if I'll have time to do a regular beauty post today,I'm super busy packing. I'll talk to you guys when I get back and look forward to a bunch of new posts next week! ;)

My Top 5 Favorite Makeup Products

These are my top 5 favorite makeup products! :)
1.Clinique Superbalanced Powder Foundation:This is an oldie but goodie for me,and my all time favorite foundation. It's $35,which personally I think is pretty expensive,but it's one of the best foundations I've ever used. And being a powder,that's saying a lot. It covers up any discoloration,which is my main problem.
2.Clinique Even Better Foundation:I've been using this foundation almost everyday for about 7 months now. Love! I have pretty sensitive skin,and this doesn't make me break out or anything!
3.NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Chandelier:This is the perfect shimmery pink color! :)
4.Sephora Eyeshadow in Aspen Summit:This eyeshadow gets a lot of love and has ever since I got it.
5.Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes Mascara:I really love this mascara! It makes my lashes look absolutely amazing! And so inexpensive!

These products do change every once in a while,but these are my current favs! :)

Sure!

It depends,but 9 times out of 10 I would say short party dress.

3.Are diamonds a girl's best friend?
Girls in general? Yup. My best friend? Nope.

4.Is your hair up or down today?
Down :) I really almost always wear my hair down. Sometimes I wear my hair in a messy bun if I'm going to the pool or if I want a more boho look.

5.Do you straighten your hair?
Yup! A lot,actually. Probably 4 times a week.

6.Favorite mascara?
Clinique High Impact Mascara

7.Do you get your nails done?
Every once in awhile. Not very often.

Large,all the way! I'm an overpacker ;)

May Favorites (yes,I know it's late ;) )

Hey everyone! :) I know I mentioned my followers in my last post (which was put up 4 hours ago) but since then I've gotten two more followers! Ahh,you don't know how much that means to me! :) Okay,haha,moving on! Today I'm going to do a May Favorites post! I didn't do an April Favorites,mainly because April was such a hectic month for me,I really didn't do much posting at all. I still don't know if I'm going to be doing these every month,it mainly depends on how busy I am and the feedback I get ;) OMG,I just found out James Dashner is writing a prequel to The Maze Runner! Ahh! :D Haha,anyway! So depending on how busy I get I might skip a month. I wasn't planning on it,but for some reason my summer's been super busy so far. All of a sudden I had a lot of post ideas that I wanted to do,and I never really thought about doing a May Favorites. But better late than never,right? ;) Ugh,this is the longest intro ever! Let's get into the products! :)

The first product is the Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover. Now,before the I used the Clinique Rinse-Off Eye Makeup Solvent. And don't get me wrong,I LOVED that product. The thing is it's $17and I use it so quickly that it was just adding up. I probably should've asked you guys for suggestions,but I was desperate so I ran to the drugstore and got whatever I could. That was a couple weeks ago. A few days ago,I picked up my second bottle of it ;) This is 3.8 fl oz,and the Clinique one is 4.2 oz. That isn't that big of a difference considering this one only costs about $6. I love this makeup removing. After I use this,pretty much all of my makeup is gone.(It does have a little bit of trouble with waterproof mascara,which I've been wearing a lot lately.) The only thing I don't like about it is I don't think it's "oil-free". I defiantly notice a slight residue,which my Clinique one didn't leave.

The next thing I've been loving is the Philosophy Happy Birthday,Beautiful! Shower Gel. First of all,I just think the packaging is pretty cute. Now personally,I think Philosophy is an amazing company in general. But I absolutely  love this shower gel. This smells like cake batter,and it's really sweet! The only negative thing is that the scent doesn't stay on your skin,which I really wish it did.I honestly don't know if you can purchase this,this is just what Sephora gives you on your Birthday. I'm almost out of this,and now I'm looking for a more summery scent. Have any suggestions,lovelies? :)

Next thing I have been loving is my EOS Lip Balm in Summer Fruit(I think that's the name). I swear by lipbalms in general. I have naturally extremely chapped lips. This is one of my favorite balms I have ever tried. I personally think this smells...and tastes...amazing!

Next,I've really been liking my Equate Moisturizing Lotion,but unfortunately I couldn't get a picture of it. This is another product I picked up because my Clinique was getting too expensive. It's by Equate,so obviously it's not going to be expensive. To be honest,I did not have high expectations. At all. I was SO surprised. It honestly makes my face look glowing!

The last product I have is the Remington "Ultimate Styler". This product is $32. Now,my old flat iron broke(Remington Wet2Straight). So I thought I would try out this one because I love Remington and it also claims to make tight and loose curls and also waves. When I first saw this I was like "Sold!" However,I was a little disappointed. I put it on the tight curls setting,and it honestly didn't do much of anything. If anything,flipped my ends out,but thats it. And I'm almost positive I was doing it right. That was about a week ago. BUT,just today I decided to try it on the straightening setting. Obviously,I didn't have high expectations because the curling was a big fat fail,but boy was I wrong! When straightening,I actually like this better than the Wet2Straight! I'm really excited to straighten my hair tomorrow now,haha!

Now,I have a couple randoms! :) First off,my new sunglasses! I don't actually have them yet,but I'm picking them up tomorrow! :D I got prescription sunglasses,which I'm sooooo excited about because I won't have to wear contacts or glasses when I'm wearing them! And even better,I absolutely love the way they look on me! ;)

Last favorite! Pretty Little Liars! This isn't a recent favorite,I've liked this show for a while now! If you haven't seen it yet,you must! It's just sooooo good! There's a new episode tomorrow! :D

Travel Series!

Hey everyone! :) So my family and I are going to the beach in a couple of weeks! I'm so excited! We go about every year,but to me it's like a home away from home. So I'm really excited because I'm also going to be doing a little series of posts. I decided to do them now rather than later because once the time actually comes I'll be busy with packing and whatnot,so it's just easier for me to do them now. Anyway,depending on how busy I am,I'll have a post up everyday this week about traveling! (By the way,I think I've been doing pretty good with my posts! This will be my 4th one in the past two days!) So I'm going to try to do one everyday(along with other beauty posts! :) ) The posts won't necessarily be about traveling in general,but more along the lines of packing,what I'm bringing,things of that nature. If you have any ideas,please let me know!

Benefit Tints?

Hey everyone! So I've been thinking and I think I would like to invest in a Benefit Tint. But I just have a few questions for you guys! :)

1.Which Benefit Tint do you think is the best?
2.Are they really multi-tasking? Most people just use them on their cheeks,I like something to use on my lips.
3.Are they easy to blend?
